Privacy policy

In force since 12 October 2026 · Version 1

In short

  • Your products are saved only on your phone.
  • No account or sign-up.
  • Analytics are off by default.
  • If the app crashes, a technical report is sent.

1. Controller

Caducity is an open-source app developed by Bernat Borrás Paronella. For any privacy question, write to feedback@converses.app.

2. Data the app stores

Your products, categories, dates and settings are stored only on your device. We have no server where they are copied and no access to them.

We don't ask for an account, email or name.

3. Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to learn which screens and actions are used and improve them. It is off by default. You turn it on or not in the “Privacy” step of first use, and you can change it any time in Settings › Privacy.

If you turn it on, only general screens and actions are sent. Product names, categories and any text you type are never sent.

4. Crash reports

If the app closes because of an error, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) sends a technical report: device model, Android and app version, and where the code failed. It is used only to fix the error.

These reports are sent even if you have turned analytics off.

5. Permissions

The app only asks for permission to send notifications, for the daily reminder. It does not use location, contacts, camera or microphone.

6. Backup

From Settings you can export your data to a file. You keep the file wherever you want; we don't receive it.

7. Minors

The app is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.

8. Your rights

You can delete all data by uninstalling the app. You can turn analytics off at any time. To exercise your rights of access, rectification or erasure over the data Google processes, write to feedback@converses.app.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with the updated date.
